Life Lock Identity Theft Protection? I signed up for this two months ago and I am very dissatisfied, and want to know if anyoe else has encountered the problems I have... For one I only got 2 of the 3 credit reports they say they will send you when you sign up; and a note from the 3rd company saying I already requested my free credit report this year! How to legally vanish and obtain a new identity? Hey to all. I have no criminal record what-so-ever. My credit is decent. I want to just "disappear" and obtain a new identity. Risk of identity fraud? Im 18, I applyed for a loan a few months ago, decided i didnt want it anyway. I've never really taken much care with my 'identity' or whatever. Computer Protection Question.? I have iolo system mechanic and mcafee security center installed on my computer and i uninstalled norton antivirus long ago and on system mechanic it says "Norton Internet Worm Protection is installed, but may not be active or running" and after i uninstalled avast antivirus, it said that i didnt have any virus protection. I thought that McAfee was supposed to take care of that? Mcafee Security Center does have its own firewall and virus protection but still when i log on aol and system mechanic, they both say that there is no protection found. Should i just ignore it? Or there some kind of error on my computer? and since my computer supposedly says that it isnt protected from hackers and identity theives. I changed the setting in McAfee's Firewall to be in stealth, which completely hides my computer's presence in the internet and blocks all inbound connections. Am i possibly protected then?

I just tried to get my free credit report online but all three agencies told me that "for my protection, they cannot give me my report online and I must request one through the mail." It says I either have a Security Freeze on my credit file, an Active Duty Military or Fraud Alert, or the identification info submitted may not match the information on file. Does this mean that someone is using my identity? I contacted Experian and they gave me another number to call and I keep getting one of those recordings that ask for your info. but I never get a real person. Credit Cards - UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES - how common? You sign up for a new Credit Card... the agent tells you about some "Special Programs" that are available to you... for example: 1- Payment Protection 2- Identity Protection You know you DO NOT want them... You know you would NOT and HAVE NOT authorized them... Yet, they appear as charges on your FIRST STATEMENT. This has happened to me before, and has just happened again... the (monthly) charges are $11.99 for one and $16.49 for the other... I'm in the process of cancelling both... How common is this for charges that you DO NOT want and you never authorized to appear on your statement anyway? I've contacted the "Identity Protection" Plan and have cancelled that one.... (was able to do this over the phone) The "Payment Protection" Plan, I called and the recording says "our system is being upgraded to 'give you better service' please call back tomorrow." (which I will do). The point is, even though I never authorized these, the Agent obviously signed me up for them as if I did. Pretty sneaky and unethical and should be against the law.
IE7 Internet and McAfee problem? I am a Comcast user and get the free McAfee software download. I run XP Pro. Recently I have been experiencing a internet browser problem were McAfee stops the browser from working. I have a network connection active but the browser, IE7 and Mozilla Firefox, will not get any internet pages. McAfee offers the Virus protection, firewall, identity protection and spam blocker. When I delete Mcafee then my browsers work fine. Also, I have discovered that if I just download the virus and firewall the internet worked until an update yesterday came out and when it downloaded then it stopped the browsers from working again. Deleted Mcaffee and activated Micrsoft/Nvidia firewall and it all worked fine. I'm not sure what to do. Any suggestions or ideas as to what is going on here?

What software does surpassdomains.com use for domain name management? Looking for another registrar using this I have been searching for a domain name registrar and I can't stand the user interfaces many companies offer for domain name management. Many are too cluttered and focused on trying to get more of my money. I just want to register a few domain names and manage them all in one place without having to deal with all the clutter. I have used surpassdomains.com in the past and I like their domain management interface but I need a domain reseller that offers identity protection for less than $20 per domain. Why should the taxpayers of the UK have to fork out miliions to give the Italian murderer a new identity? The murderer of headmaster Mr Lawrence is to be given a new identity (as well as his family) when he comes out of prison at the expense of decent British taxpayers of millions of pounds. 1) He is in for murder, should he not stay in for life? 2) Should the bastard have been executed? 3) Should he not have been extradited to Italy/ 4) Should they not leave the low-life to his fate, or get the Italians to pay for his protection? We british don't want murderers on our streets and we certainly don't want to pay to protect the bastards. Old know all...I NEVER read The Sun!!!!!, it's a comic.
