Life Lock Identity Theft Protection?
I signed up for this two months ago and I am very dissatisfied, and want to know if anyoe else has encountered the problems I have... For one I only got 2 of the 3 credit reports they say they will send you when you sign up; and a note from the 3rd company saying I already requested my free credit report this year! Also they claim to reduce "pre-selected credit offers" and junk mail; while I have recieved a GREAT increase in junk mail and the credit offers. And now since I signed up I am recieveing all this junk from personal people and not just bussiness; like chain letters from people I do not know and trash like that. Has anyone else signed up for this service and experienced this kind of response? Let me know. Thanks & Gods Blessings!

- Try calling LifeLock and talk to them about the issues you've expressed here. See what they have to say about it. I know a lot of people who have LifeLock and are very satisfied with their services. I did the opt-out of pre-approved credit offers myself a few years ago. That stopped a lot of junk that I used to have to shred. The chain letters could just be a coincidence...
- I have never heard of anyone having a problem with LifeLock. They are a great company. Have you contacted them and told them about this problem? I am sure they will clear things up immediately. Remember, they only remove you from the three credit bureau's sell list, that is the list of names the credit bureaus sell to credit card companies and others who are interested in your credit history. It can take up to 60 days for this reduction to happen as people they have already sold your name to can continue to solicit you. They cannot remove you from other lists as every person in this country has the right to collect your information and try to sell you things. There are other ways to get that third credit report for free, so don't dispair. Best of Luck to you. I hope you get this resolved quickly. - Life Lock, is a very simple process anyone can do it. They charge you 10 dollars amonth for what? 1. they request you get a free copy of your credit report 2. go to www.optoutpreescreenign.com 3. put a fraud alert on your credit report 4. and then guarantee that nothing will happen while your in their program. The items 1 - 3 can be done either on line or over the phone in less than 20 min. (same amount of time it took you to fill out their application) If you are still receiving credit offers in the mail it's most likely company's that don't pull credit. Just random junk mail. Not everyone buys your information from the credit bureaus. I would recommend using a site called www.mycreditkeeper.com first month free same price and dose the same thing and a whole lot more.
