Should "amnesty" begin and end with illegal immigration???

Seeing as we're in the mood to be gracious ... how about amnesty for crimes such as tresspassing or breaking and entering or identity theft. Who needs laws anyways .. we'll just obey the ones that are convenient for us. How about medical bills we owe, maybe we should forget about health insurance altogether, this is a rich country someone will pick up the tab somewhere. Why should the gravy train stop there? Maybe the IRS would like to forgive us all our back taxes, or maybe even refund us what we paid last year .... certainly they'd never miss it. The list goes on and on, but lastly what about those who stood their time in line, paid their fees, filled out all the forms, and submitted themselves to the lengthy immigration process just to be here. I guess there's a sucker born every minute huh? Maybe the government can even set up a program to loan illegals $5000, with convenient repayment terms. Think about it!!! Another thought ... one of the first orders of business should be to issue lay off notices to all of those annoying border patrol people and customs agents at land, sea and air crossings. The idea of enforcing borders is pure avarice in any case and the cost savings could be used for more social programs or perhaps a public education campaign to sensitize the American people on issues and concerns relevant to the average illegal immigrant and how we can all work together to adjust ourselves to their cultural preferences. For those of you who think this is a racial/nationality issue, get over yourselves. No particular race/nationality was mentioned in this question. I too am an immigrant, but one who respects the law and this country enough to fill out the paperwork, pay the fees and wait in line.

Because our elected official do not work in our best interest, but for the lobby for the illegals That $ 5000 is just a window dressing, to pretend that it is not amnesty, when the finial bill ( hopefully there will be no bill), is passed, there will be so many waivers, the illegals will be getting refunds. It will go by the wayside the same way the paying of back taxes was done away with
2. Do you know how many visas are issued each year? Do you know how many people financially can NOT afford to come here the legal way? Those who have are the fortunate few. Look up some stats..first place to start would be the immigration website. Email them ask some questions become more informed.

5. Yeah, and Charles Mason just got rejected for parole again. They won't even consider it for another 5 years. That should be the minimum amount of time before we reconsider amnesty. Better yet, as soon as 10,000 employers (or even 1,000) are serving time for violating the law, we can have Congress discuss it.

Well, seems like the rest of Latin America has given Amnesty to the United States....In case you didn't know, US is responsible for bringing poverty to many of these third world countries and others around the world..... How about Iraq, Afghanistan, Cuba, Guatemala, Venezuela. In fact, it is largely due to American policies that these countries have such poor economies despite having some of the most rich lands as far as natural resources and so many people have to emigrate. This is exactly what the government wants and they have succeeded- keep the American people ignorant, like you, so that they will not question US and US foreign policy. Keep them preoccupied with being racist, paranoid, and radical so that we can be left to our own devices.
8. I think it should go even further. Legal citizens should get 3 freebie traffic stops per year, and 1 free DUI...commit a homicide...hell you get home incarceration for that for 1 year and then it's removed from your record... Oh and the loans to illegals you mentioned? Interest free of course. To the poster that says people can't afford to come here...good...then WE DON'T WANT THEM. Let them leech off their own governments. I'm sick and tired of paying my portion of the 10 BILLION dollars per year that illegals cost the USA.
9. Do people have any idea about the "cost" of each immigrant in the US? If one single illegal immigrant gets injured in the US, we (as tax payer) will have to pay a minimum of $8000 dollars for his/her treatment! If you have a chance, go to local hosptials in the border states, and see how much hard-earn-tax-payer's money are wasted there!! To: Christa K, If they cannot afford to be here, then they should not be here. Is it fair to have them leeching off the US tax-payers' hard-earn cash when those money should go toward to the tax-payers' best interest instead??
10. For questions like yours is why this is a race issue, you don't even care if the laws change, if the laws changes then is not a crime anymore, but what you REALLY don't want is mexicans and latin people in general near of you.
