so what do you think of the life lock id theft protection program?
i just saw something on yahoo. where the life lock guy is being sued. people were stealing his idenity and the customers using the program are victims as well. good for him if he got ripped off. it is his own fault. the customers should not have been victims. i new that the program was not good. if it sounds to good to be true then it must be a lie.

- I know, I saw the same thing. I am in the program and so far they've basically just ordered fraud alerts every 90 days, which is something I could do, but I really don't have the time or inclination to do so. I say the CEO is doing a great job if his identity has only been truly compromised once when he's been blasting his social for the whole world to see. Still, I think I may not need the fraud alerts the company is ordering. I may cancel and get my money back...
- I read the same thing! My fiance has life lock and I forwarded the article to him. The one thing I did notice in the article is that he has been broadcasting his SSN for over two years now, with over 87 attempts or something like that an only one guy was successful at getting $500 from an internet scam thing, and they found out about it. So while it was comprimsed a little I still think it may be better then no protection at all! I mean that's pretty good percentage, after your SSN is broadcast repeadtly on commercials!
- I read the story and 87 people tried to steal his identity and one suceeded. I agree that the program can't be foolproof- there are too many people who spend their days coming up with new technological ways to mess up someone's life for a couple hundred bucks. There will always be some computer geek ahead of any company's security attempts
- If you put any personal information on the Internet you deserve to have your identity stolen.. Why in the name of our Lord would you give your credit card number online?lol.
- i knew it was a crock to begin with... now i have proof.
- Whats wrong with paying 10$ a month for something that's free. You would just waste it on gas anyway.
- I am also in the ID Theft Business. But what he did is plain stupid. You can go out and buy Everything on the internet now for $50. That hole thing was a joke. There is NO Guarantee when it comes to that stuff, there is only EARLY warning, With the company I work for we check the system EVERY DAY, and not pull any credit every 90 days. I think that is too long of a wait to know if anything was taken. That is why we are the larges system out there. We don't just throw $1million at it, we actually Fix it on your behalf. Watch the ID Theft Sheild video it explains it better. http://www.whatsyourwhy.net
- Hello, I have not heard anything about Life Lock Id, So I really can not answer your question. Sorry. Bummer
