Can id theft happen from posting resume online?

My resume was posted online and I got a email from thecareersource.org I now believe was a scan and filled out the basic form-name,address,phone number, previous jobs. Can my identity be stolen using just that basic info? There was nota not a date of birth or SSN on it.

  1. Probably not. Is this resume available to anybody? I'm not sure I'd like just anybody viewing my address and phone number. Even if they're not going to steal my identity, they could still be dangerous. Going with a safer site like monster.com might be a better idea.
  2. yes off course if some one knows your date and palce of birth he / she can try on password retrieve information there he can try saying your date of birth and place of birth etc so better way to change ur profile to fake places :P good luck
  3. That depends on the information you publish publicly, but the answer is a possible yes.
  4. Yes it can. Have no doubt in your mind about this.
