After upgrading to IE8 by Yahoo, why does my Norton 360 Identity Protection mode shut down?

- If you did it in response to an e-mail notice from "Yahoo", you may have actually downloaded a bug or malware. Its what I did and my McAfee security features became disabled and my computer is now running extremely slow. I don't know what other problems it may be or will be causing but am trying to find out.
